I came across a great article on the Desiring God blog that talked about what all it means to be a Christian. You can read the entire article here.

A few mentions from the article:

that we repent of our sins

that we are sensible we have justly exposed ourselves to God's wrath

that we love him above all, and are willing for his sake to forsake all

This was such a good reminder that to be a Christian is much more than walking an aisle, saying a prayer, and filling out a card. It is a matter of full transformation 2 Corinthians 5:17.
